The Acoustic Revive SIP-8F, BSIP-2, IP-2F shorting plugs operate on several levels: They keep the inside of of your RCA and XLR connections from collecting dust; they prevent unwanted airborne RFI from entering the inputs of your equipment, and they mechanically dampen these connections with special materials, thereby mitigating unwanted resonances and physical interactions between your component's chassis and RCA and XLR sockets. Please note the BSIP-2 and SIP-8F are for INPUTS ONLY. The IP-2F is for RCA (analog) or SPDIF (digital) outputs.
This is a great way to keep RFI from entering your system through your RCA sockets. The IsoClean RCA RF Isolators also keep unwanted dust and grime out! Simply use the IsoClean RCA RF Isolators at all the blank inputs, and remove the center pin for use on your components' unused RCA ouput sockets. Best used in conjunction with the IsoClean AG RF Isolators (for AC duplex receptacles) on blank ac receptacle sockets. Both RF Isolators serve the function of blocking off unshielded entry points for harmful RF to enter your system. Our experience is that these units' effects are cumulative - the more you have, the more substantial the upgrade in sound. Blacker backgrounds, more holographic imaging, and less HF hash has been our exprience with the IsoClean Isolators. IsoClean RCA RF Isolators are made from solid, gold plated copper and have a removable center pin for use on the RCA outputs. Great tweak.
