The KLEI Perfect Harmony RCA Socket is the flagship chassis-mount female RCA connector from KLE Innovations, designed by Keith Louis Eichmann. It is the top tier in the Harmony RCA Socket range (Classic, Copper, and Perfect), and is marked with a "5" on the body to denote the Perfect tier.
The copper/silver contact pins are formed using KLEI's proprietary high-conductivity metallurgical layering processes, achieving conductivity exceeding 105% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard). For context, standard brass connectors used in most RCA jacks achieve only 25-37% IACS. The Perfect Harmony's proprietary mathematical modeling determines the optimal ground-to-signal pin relationship and the metallurgical processes used to achieve this level of performance.
Like the acclaimed KLEI Harmony RCA plugs (which VH Audio also carries), the socket design prioritizes signal integrity through low mass, optimized pin geometry, and elimination of the performance-degrading characteristics common to conventional heavy-plated brass connectors. The design minimizes capacitive, inductive, and EMF effects for a more direct, transparent connection between component and cable.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Overall length: 28.5mm (including solder tag)
Widest diameter: 16mm
Panel/Chassis cutout diameter: 10mm (M10, 25/64")
Panel thickness: 1-4mm with washer, up to 6mm without washer
KLEI recommends using heatsink pliers/clips when soldering to prevent melting the polymer housing. A 60-watt soldering iron with a broad tip is suggested for fast heat transfer. Do not use an RCA plug as a heatsink during soldering.
BURN-IN:
KLEI suggests allowing 100+ hours (preferably 200+) of music playback for the sockets to fully break in. When comparing interconnects, allow at least 90 minutes (preferably 180 minutes) after connection for the socket/plug interface to settle.
Sold in PAIRS with red and white color-coded sockets (1 piece each).
