The Furutech NCF Clear Line-RCA is a passive line optimizer that plugs into a vacant RCA jack on your preamp, DAC, phono stage, CD/SACD player or other component. Think of it as a noise sponge parked in an empty jack. Nothing passes through it, so there is nothing to rewire. It is the RCA version of Furutech's popular NCF Clear Line AC.
HOW IT WORKS:
According to Furutech:
NCF center pin: a one-piece rhodium-plated Alpha OCC center conductor injected with Furutech's NCF damping material, on a rhodium-plated Alpha copper alloy body.
Audio-grade ceramic capacitor (passive) with a silver-colored damping coating, selected by listening tests and tuned to absorb noise from the equipment's terminals.
Semi-sealed air chamber, pressure sealed for extra damping.
NCF damping housing: a stainless steel and NCF body ring, a four-layer hybrid NCF forged carbon fiber shell, and an NCF end cover with molded channels that add 90% more NCF surface area.
Alpha Process: all metal parts are cryogenically treated and demagnetized.
Furutech says you'll hear a lower noise floor right away, with a deeper and more focused soundstage, better harmonics and tonal balance, and more transparency, without coloring the sound.
HOW TO USE IT:
Plug it into any vacant RCA output or input jack. Furutech suggests a spare jack on your preamp or CD/SACD/multi-player.
Loosen the collet housing, plug it in, then tighten the housing to lock it in place. This matters for best results.
Allow 24 hours or more of break-in. The screws are factory torqued, so please don't take it apart.
