SR Tranquility Base Carbon

WHAT IT IS:

The Tranquility Base Carbon is the first all-new Tranquility Base in over a decade, and it replaces SR's original Tranquility Base. You place it under a component, and its active UEF EM Cell conditions the signal inside that component.

HOW IT WORKS:

According to Synergistic Research:

• New chassis: machined from a solid billet of aircraft aluminum, 50% slimmer and 80% more rigid than before.
• Carbon fiber top, chosen for how it responds to mechanical and airborne vibration.
• EM Cell technology taken directly from SR's Galileo SX PowerCell.
• UEF technology from SR's SRX cable loom.
• SR reports a lower noise floor, improved dynamics and soundstaging, and smoother, more extended high frequencies.

BEST UNDER:

Computer audio servers and hard drives, turntables, CD players, DACs and transports, preamps, external crossovers and amplifiers (SR's recommendations).
