WHAT IT IS:
The Synergistic Research Ethernet UEF Performance Enhancer is a compact UEF filter for your network chain. It plugs into an unused Ethernet port, such as a spare port on your switch, and lowers your system's noise floor. Nothing passes through it, so there is nothing to rewire. SR's own tagline: "Contact your doctor when listening sessions last longer than four hours."
HOW IT WORKS:
According to Synergistic Research, the Enhancer uses a new UEF Compound first developed alongside SR's flagship SRX cable loom. By lowering the noise floor, it lets you hear more music with greater clarity and sweeter highs.
- One Enhancer: SR says you'll find yourself listening longer, and maybe at lower volumes, as your system seems to flow better.
- A second Enhancer: SR says it will likely magnify what you heard with one, with deeper, tighter bass, a wider soundstage, and more detail rising above a lower noise floor.
HOW TO USE IT:
- Plug it into any unused Ethernet port in your network chain. A spare port on your switch is a good place to start.
- It works alongside SR's Network Router UEF, Ethernet Switch UEF Mk II or any standard router or switch.
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Type: passive plug-in UEF filter
